2. Let's Talk Land
No matter where you plan to build, we always ask:
- Do you currently own land? If not, do you need help looking for land?
- Does the property have access to things like water, electricity, and other utilities?
- What kind of preparation will the land need before we can begin building?
- Do the property have restrictions or rules that we need to consider? Some communities will have square footage requirements, specific types of materials to use, etc. and if so, it is best to know these things early in the process
At Holloway Family Homes, we offer a complimentary site evaluation in an effort to assist you in choosing the perfect location for your new home. We will help by giving an estimation of land preparation costs which is made up of but not limited to: clearing of the area the home will be built, culvert/construction road and driveway, well and septic costs, additional foundation over height needed etc. Knowing these numbers is a key factor in the next step!
3. Determining Your Budget
Once you’ve chosen the land for your future home, the next step is setting your budget. This isn’t just about numbers on paper—it’s about making sure your home fits your lifestyle today while preparing for tomorrow.
